Peak Height Velocity Growth Spurt Tracker

TOOL 4 / PHV TRACKER
Scientific Growth Analysis

When Will You Hit
Your Growth Spurt?

Using the Mirwald (2002) somatic maturity equation — the same method trusted by sports scientists worldwide — this calculator predicts exactly how many years until your Peak Height Velocity.

Biological Sex & Age

STEP 01
Your current age in whole years
Additional months beyond full years
Decimal age = years + (months ÷ 12). Example: 13 years 6 months = 13.50. This precision is required by the Mirwald formula.

Anthropometric Measurements

STEP 02
Full standing height without shoes
See measurement guide below ↓
Measured in the morning, lightly clothed
Auto-calculated: Standing − Sitting
sit ht ↑ measure

How to Measure Sitting Height

Sit upright on a flat, firm surface with your back straight against a wall. Feet flat on the floor, thighs horizontal. Measure from the flat surface up to the very top of your head (vertex). Do not slump. This is the most critical measurement — small errors significantly affect the prediction.

⚠ Please check your inputs. Sitting height must be less than standing height. All fields are required.

🚨 Critical Growth Window
Your Growth Plates Are Active.
Don't Miss This Window.
During your peak growth window, growth plates are highly responsive to mechanical loading, nutrition, and sleep. The height.fit adolescent program uses gamified protocols to maximize every millimeter of your genetic potential.

⚠ Scientific disclaimer: The Mirwald (2002) maturity offset equation has a standard error of ≈0.59 years (SE). It is most accurate within 1–2 years of the actual PHV event. Predictions assume European-ancestry reference data (Mirwald et al., Med. Sci. Sports Exerc., 34(4):689–694). Recalculate every 3–4 months for updated tracking.
